MPP improves access to affordable and appropriate essential medicines in LMICs. It does this by addressing a key challenge in equitable access to treatment – the need for multiple sources of affordable, quality-assured medicines for use in developing countries.
Greater access to medicines and health technologies for those who need them
MPP’s 20262030 strategy builds on 15 years of experience to ensure that health innovations reach people in LMICs sooner, more equitably and more sustainably. By combining public health-oriented licensing, technology transfer and strong partnerships, MPP will continue to turn innovation into access, and access into impact.
MPP is committed to achieving the highest standards of ethics, accountability and transparency.
The Medicines Patent Pool was established in 2010 and comprises a team of dedicated staff, the Governance Board, the Expert Advisory Group, the Scientific Advisory Panel and Community Advisory Panel.
